Schooldin (pronounced [skuːlðɪn], literally meaning the days of school) is not a conventional NGO per se. Some alumni from 1992 Madhyamik batch of THE SCOTTISH CHURCH COLLEGIATE SCHOOL, an academic institution in North Kolkata established 1830, had created a WhatsApp group in 2014 to rekindle and relish the friendship they had in the alma mater. At present Schooldin has more than 50 members. In course of time the members of Schooldin became associated with philanthropic activities which started with sending aid for the victims of earthquake in Nepal through BHARAT SEVASHRAM SANGHA in the year 2015 and continued through various endeavours in association with NGOs like ANANDAGHAR (in Baruipur) and CHIRANABIN. Schooldin had also stood by their friends involved in relief work for the victims of flood in Malda in the year 2017.

In the year 2017, Schooldin came to know about CHIRANABIN, an NGO working to spread social welfare amongst suffering humanity. CHIRANABIN is in village Parbakshi at Bagnan in district Howrah. This organisation was established by Sri Sukumar Sahu in the year 1968 along with a group of youth motivated for rural development and improvement of the social, economic and cultural fabric of the area. Last year, before the Durgapuja, Schooldin had organised a small event in CHIRANABIN to hand over modest gifts of clothing to more than 200 boarders. This year Schooldin is delighted to have NARAYANA SUPER SPECIALITY HOSPITAL with them who will organise a whole day health camp on September 22, 2018 for the boarders of CHIRANABIN. Schooldin also looks forward to be associated with CHIRANABIN in their journey to elevate and edify the victims of social injustice.
